Study Space Reservations
Current undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff may reserve up to 3 hours once every 24 hours up to 3 days in advance. Each individual can reserve up to 6 hours per week. UCLA Extension students are not eligible for room reservations.

How to rent a book at UCLA Library
To borrow any item, please follow these steps: Use UC Library Search(opens in a new tab) to locate your item's location and call number. Books are stored in alphanumeric order by call number at each library. Use your BruinCard or UCLA Library Card to check out your items at a circulation desk or self-checkout machine.

Students and staff from universities which are members of the SCONUL Access scheme can join the OU Library and borrow materials. If your home institution provides Eduroam WiFi you will be able to use it in the Library at Walton Hall.

The general public may use the libraries for academic and research-related purposes when resources are not in use by or reserved for USC students, faculty, staff, alumni, or other members of the USC community. Members of the general public will be asked to show a photo ID to enter some of our libraries.
Can you just go to a library and study
Oftentimes, you will need to reserve the room in advance, but this is not always the case. Some libraries will allow you to use any study room you please as long as it is open when you get there. For exceptionally large groups, you may want to consider asking about using a large meeting room at the library.
